The West Chicago Public Library District has regularly scheduled hours of operation, though the library may be closed on certain holidays throughout the year. Rest assured, we are never closed for long, and you’ll be able to come back to the library to make use of our services and resources as soon as we reopen.

During the summer, the library is closed on Sundays between Memorial Day Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend. The library should be open for regular hours of business on all other days. If the library needs to close for emergency situations (such as a power outage, dangerous weather, or hazards in the community), the closure will be posted on social media, and a banner detailing the closure will be posted on the website as soon as practicable. In these rare emergency scenarios, we ask for your patience as we work to address, remedy, or move past the reason for the emergency closure.
