Hello all, I am Benjamin Weseloh, the director of the West Chicago Public Library District (WCPLD). I am glad you are visiting us online and I hope you will visit us in person soon!
I began my career at WCPLD as the Adult Services Manager in 2006 and became library director in 2014. I spent much of my career before WCPLD working as an academic librarian at Dominican University in Forest Park, Illinois. I have a special soft spot for the reference work that is part of our library mission. I feel the same enthusiasm I had when I first began my journey as a librarian. I work to foster that enthusiasm here today as I lead our team to provide professional service, powerful free resources, and engagement for the greater West Chicago community.
